Red Drawstring Quilted Backpack

This is a development of my earlier drawstring quilted bag. This second version is larger, longer and has a large interior patch pocket.

I loved putting together these fabrics that appear very different at first glance, but work in combination. The diverse fabrics are all held together by the tones of red. Included are an old Ikea print, a new Cath Kidston print, something beautiful from ReproDepot and a couple of my stash 'staples'.

Looks great! It shows that you can put many patterns together as long as they have a central color! Thanks for the Repro link...wow do they have cool fabric and patterns!
