The Inspirational Pippi Longstocking

This is my current bedtime reading, Astrid Lindgren's "Pippi Longstocking" with illustrations by Lauren Child. The illustrations are stunning and the book came with four prints, so two of them have formed the backbone of my 2009 inspiration board, it's still a work in progress:

What are your big inspirations for the coming crafty year?

This looks like a lovely book - I can see how it would definitely make for inspirational bedtime reading...as for my own inspirations...Goodness, I'll have to get back to you on that. I think I'm still in 'unpacking, cleaning and getting my head around kindy' mode at the moment.EEEkkkk!

Lauren Child is a genius isn't she!
My inspirations are going to have to be Living etc and Elle deco (still), the only things I've managed to read for ages!

Obviously I love Lauren Child too, I look at Charlie and Lola on telly together with the kids. Not only is the art work lovely and inspiring, the stories are great too! Got to get the Pippi book "for the children"!

Happy craft year!

My inspiration for the year so far is the piece of bird fabric I got in a swap in December, lots of white with hints of colours and black, ah!

I love Pippi!!! I wanted to be her when I was a kid. A while back they had the house that they used for Villa Villa Coula (spelling???) for sale. I would have loved to buy it but A. It went for something like $2 million and B. it was really run down. Oh yeah and C. I'm poor.

So far I think I have yet to find my inspiration but I'm looking.

Thank you for visiting my blog!

That looks like a great book. I'm still looking for inspirations for this year. I must admit that cleaning and organising my fabric stash last week was very exciting as I pictured which fabrics would make great little bags. Exciting times ahead for us all :P
